If we believe, we will love
If we love, we will serve.
Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Many people believe that those who are adamently opposed to abortion are mean - are violent and are, well, just a little crazy in the head.
When I read this quote by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, I started thinking:
Lord, I do pray, I do believe and when I pray, I realize how much you love not only me (what a concept!) but those who think I am crazy and who think I am violent because I oppose abortion. When I pray, I feel your love for me - I know I can bring before you anything that is in my heart and in my mind and You, Lord, You comfort.
You challenge me to love - and that is not always easy to do - for pride gets in the way, life gets in the way and loving, true loving means that although I did not chose my apostolate of pro-life work; You called me to be a voice, along with millions of others, to speak out for the unborn; and I must be obedient to you in speaking out.
A great deal of my apostolate in pro-life work is to pray for those who have had abortions, to pray for those who are contemplating abortions and to pray for those who are in the abortion industry.
Prayer - belief - love - service
Out of Your Love for us, You died so that we may have eternal life. Out of my love for You, I serve.
