I have recently found a new website - as in ten minutes ago! - and I want to share it with you.
Generations for Life has a new guest blogger - an eighteen year old, home educated woman who is stepping out for life. One of her readers asked why she used the term pro-abortion instead of pro-'choice'. The reader then went on to say that she was going to blog on why she was going to use the term 'anti-abortion' instead of pro-life.
Well - that is not a hard pill to swallow - being anti-abortion - indeed, isn't that what we pro-lifers are? Hard core, anti-baby killing - yep! That is me.
Part of my reply on Christina's blog was this "I am a post abortive woman - notice I did not write ‘post-choice’ woman. My son, Matthew Dean, would have been 38 years old this September. Instead, his birth and death date by abortion was this past April."
Somehow, I believe that the above statement sums it up quite well - the choice that was presented to me was the death of my child - nothing else.
So - perhaps others, in speaking of LIFE to those who are pro-abortion, can use this terminology - a post abortive woman is not a post-'choice' woman.
And, I am still awaiting Mr. Finn's reply - either by telephone or email. Day 2!
