Two days ago, I went in for more testing and will get the results soon. The waiting time is not fun - so I am requesting prayers for benign results and patience while I wait.
I have been cancer free for eight years and this type of cancer has a ten year follow period, so I am not expecting any funny results.

Wait if it was removed why do you need follow up? I'm not sure I remember that post-op...
This was in 2009 ... and now I am over ten years cancer free ... praise be to God.
Because my cancer had spread to other areas of my body, I think! I had to undergo those huge machines every couple of years, after being off synthroid for a couple of weeks ... nothing painful, I am just a wimp about being off my synthroid and having a two thousand ton machine on top of me!
I have not had a screening since 2009 - and I am glad for that!
That is awesome.!! Go you! Mine was contained in the goiter so I was relieved it had not spread!
I'm surprised you are able to function on Synthroid! I tried but couldn't even function.
I remember my "endo" at the time telling me to start synthroid after a week after my surgery. He said I would die 3 weeks without thyroid hormones. Holy heck! It's so scary to be dependent on meds that keep you alive as we move closer to "obamacare"!
Oh Sew - I do have that concern - that because of my age, I will not be permitted to receive my synthetic hormones. I am actually on the generic - levothyroxine. I am too heavy, I am tired, I am depressed and I have anxiety - am I doing okay?
Two weeks without synthroid - it is NOT pretty - glad I don't have to do that anymore - at least I don't think I do!
