The legislators in North Dakota have it right.
"North Dakota's House of Representatives has passed a bill effectively outlawing abortion.
The House voted 51-41 this afternoon to declare that a fertilized egg has all the rights of any person.
That means a fetus could not be legally aborted without the procedure being considered murder."

On another note - they are also trying to pass a bill which would mandate a sign saying:
"Notice: No one can force you to have an abortion. It is against the law for a spouse, a boyfriend, a parent, a friend, a medical care provider, or any other person to in any way force you to have an abortion." to be placed in abortion mills.

Only in America do we have to pass a law that specifically states that what results from the fertilization of a human egg by human sperm is a HUMAN BEING.
