Okay - so the father of little Mariah thought that his girlfriend had had an abortion and he was off and running - running to be a soldier in the National Guard.
I wrote about this family on Sunday morning. I was happy that the father had custody of the baby - I was ignorant of the fact that he knew he was a father (yes, dear reader, when a man impregnates a woman, he is a father). Now it turns out that he and the mother of baby Mariah, both agreed to abort this baby.
Had this little Mariah, the one that Clark cradled so lovingly last Sunday morning, been aborted, Clark would have no baby to cuddle. Praise God that the mother of Mariah did not keep up her end of the agreement. She did give birth to Mariah outdoors and then walked to the church and placed her there ... little Mariah, spared from abortion had a rough beginning, nonetheless, but she is alive!
I pray that Clark becomes a pro-life advocate - after all, he was in agreement that this baby's life should be prematurely terminated and here she is - just fine and dandy.

Labor introduces the Abortion Law Reform Bill

The Victorian Government has introduced a Bill to State Parliament to decriminalise abortion.
The Bill allows unrestricted abortions in the first 24 weeks of pregnancy, but termination would have to be approved by two doctors after 24 weeks.
Currently, abortions are illegal unless a woman can show she is at risk of harm by continuing with a pregnancy.
Health Minister Daniel Andrews says the Bill would legalise what already happens in practice.
"Nothing in the bill changes the status quo as it exists now, other than it simply regulates practice within our State," she said.
Earlier, Premier John Brumby said he expected debate to be an emotional one.
"I think it's very important for all members of Parliament to respect the views of other individuals," he said.
All major parties have allowed their MPs a conscience vote.
Mr Brumby says the bill will bring the law in line with current practices.
The Women's Affairs Minister, Maxine Morand, hopes both Houses of Parliament will pass the Bill by the end of the year.
"The introduction of the Abortion Law Reform Bill represents a significant and historic change in the way abortion will be regulated in Victoria and by introducing the Abortion Law Reform Bill we are acknowledging that women should get support over their reproductive health choices and deserve legal certainty when making these difficult choices."
An anti-abortion protester was ejected from the Parliament after heckling Government members who are supporting the bill.

To walk away is horrible; to turn around, walk back and take a stand? That is a miracle of God's own making. Thank you, Jesus, for reuniting this daughter with her father.
That is good news, even if it started out wrong.
I hope he becomes a pro-life champion now that he can see what he would have missed.
