I hate to say the words "Crucify Him!" during the readings at Mass on this day. I know that I crucify Our Lord often enough in my daily actions...but to have to say it out loud? NO!
I am so grateful for His Mercy, His Love and His Compassion.
Christ turned the other cheek, He did not defend Himself against his detractors. I try to follow His example in my life, albeit failing miserably at times.
I try to speak the truth when the truth is not popular. I try to live a life so that God can point to me and say "yah, that's my girl!" .. I try and with the help of His Grace, live a life that is full of love, forgiveness and compassion.
