Christianity is Christ.
It is Who we consume, it is Who consumes us. Christ tells us in John 6, the discourse of the Bread of Life, that unless we eat of His Body and drink of His Blood, we will not have life within us. It is not about a representation or symbol of His Body and His Blood -
God does not mince words - He has told us. It is our choice, because of the free will He gave us, to walk away as many did when they first heard His Words, or to stay and partake.
