Many years ago - oh about 1600 - a devout woman by the name of Juliana kept have reoccuring dreams. The dream was about the Church Calendar in which all the feast days and Sundays are noted. There was a circle around the calendar and it was black. In her dreams, she kept hearing Jesus say that He was sad that there was no feast for The Body of Christ - the Most Holy Eucharist.
Juliana took her concerns to Jacques Pantaleon, who later became Pope Urban IV. Read more about this wonderful feast here - which goes into more detail.
Yesterday our parish celebrated the feast with a mile and a half procession through the streets of Bremerton, carrying the Most Holy Eucharist, signing hymms and praying. It was a beautiful celebration and our local newspaper had a write up on it. See here. Make sure you click on the you tube link to see our pastor, Father Lappe, who along with the staff at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, made this wonderful procession possible.
Of course, all praise and glory to God for giving us His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity that we may have everlasting life.

We got turned down for our parade license in Modesto - no police available for ot....so we took Jesus to the street in front of our Church and after the procession, we held a holy hour OUTSIDE so all on Oakdale Ave could see us loving The Lord.
