Bye-bye...

Pope Benedict XVI was a perfect guest to us here in America. He gave some beautiful speeches and contained within them were words that rang true. It was a joy to get to know this scholar and Vicar of Christ better through his stay with us.

As I watched him speak, these words were words that I wanted to commit to memory, but alas, my memory is not good, so I looked them up - -

"Dear friends, truth is not an imposition. Nor is it simply a set of rules. It is a discovery of the One who never fails us; the One whom we can always trust. In seeking truth we come to live by belief because ultimately truth is a person: Jesus Christ." Pope Benedict XVI April 19 in his address to the youth.

WOW!

Thank you for coming to see us, Papa!!! We LOVE YOU!

Indeed; an awesome visit ... and ... his knowledge and forsight will be a 'grace' to the Church, for years to come. I am going to try to find that book he wrote ... when JPII asked him to do that instead of retiring. >>>Boy, I envy his joyful and energtic stepping ... and especially off the plane. Did you see that??? Almost jumping; and me ... old lady at 71 ... he was 81 during his visit ... I take one step at a time; up one foot; up other foot ... now go up one more step; or down one more step. Viva, Papa Ben16. DIEU TE BENISSE!!!
